Stars in the Park:
Bringing the Universe to National Parks Nationwide
Our organization has partnered with the National Park Service (NPS) to launch an exciting new initiative, “Stars in the Park.” This program aims to bring the wonders of the universe closer to communities across the country.
The first site to implement this program was Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park, located in Paterson, NJ. The partnership officially began when our organization donated a state-of-the-art digital telescope and provided training for the staff at Paterson Great Falls NHP. Park visitors will have the opportunity to explore the cosmos through this innovative digital telescope system, making astronomy accessible and engaging for people of all ages.
Our goal is to expand the “Stars in the Park” program to as many national parks as possible, integrating astronomy into the public spaces of America’s cherished parks. Your support will have a significant impact on communities where light pollution has limited residents' connection to the night sky. Help us share the knowledge and wonder of the universe in America’s treasured parks.
