BEGST promotes science and technology through education
As a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, we aim to help educational institutions increase minority enrollment in science and technology courses by creating unique and exciting experiences targeted to students of color and designed to: create awareness of astronomy, chemistry, physics, archeology, engineering, math, and other scientific fields; inspire students to pursue a STEM career; motivate them to enroll in and complete the college degree programs that will prepare them for those careers.
To accomplish that mission, our team of professionals creates extraordinary learning environments and intriguing media presentations on topics that range from searching for new planets in the universe to uncovering the mysteries of ancient African astronomical observatories. These state-of-the-art presentations also highlight achievements by science and technology professionals of color.
Inspiration and Motivation
Our goal is to create educational programs and projects that will inspire and motivate students. We work with schools. colleges, and universities to ensure that students have real-world educational experiences in science and technology.
Project-Based Programs
We create projects to address the needs of high school and college students . From training on the latest technology to project-based learning, we help students make their learning experiences engaging and successful.
Solutions to Real-world Problems
Our approach extends beyond the classroom to help ensure students have the necessary skils to solve problems in science or technolgy.
